It’s a new year!

But does anything look different? Look around your bedroom. Check your bank account. Look in the mirror. Has anything changed? Do you want anything to change?

"If you always do what you’ve always done,

You’ll always get what you’ve always got."

-Henry Ford

Try throwing some stuff away. Maybe rearrange the furniture in your room. Maybe text or call some of your friends and just let them know you’re thankful for them. Your circumstances won’t change if your perception stays the same. Change your view. Go for a walk, hit the gym, write down your goals, and take action!

Most importantly, pray. You can do it right now, and it won’t cost you anything. If you have nothing to say, start with this:

“God, thank you for a new year. Thank you for loving me no matter what. Thank you for this roof over my head, and for the chance to get it right this year. Please show me what to do next, and I’ll do it. Your plan is greater than mine, so I turn my will over to you. Please fill me with your eternal wisdom, strength, and love. Search my heart, and teach me your ways. Remove my unbelief, my fears, and my doubts. I give this year to you, God. Amen.”
